Are you having problems with your child’s behavior? Do you feel lost without knowing what to do? Do you feel that you are not a captain as a mother or father? Or simply that it does not connect with your child?
Do not worry that this model has been adapted for children. I have received specialized training in this method and used it with many of my young clients, especially those who have been traumatized, victimized, or subjected to stressful situations. While developing a trusting relationship with the child, I have the ability to understand their play and incorporate EMDR in a way that will help them work through negative or stressful events in their lives.
EMDR therapy therapy has been used with children and adolescents with a wide variety of emotional and psychological problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, phobias, depression, attachment disorders, behavior problems, etc. The Evidence-Based Child Welfare Information Center of California has accepted EMDR therapy as an empirical evidence approach for children.
